The casual worship group participates in worship by sharing faith with each other, joys and concerns in prayer, and reflecting on Scripture together.  I am getting content with the shape that the service is taking. We begin with some singing between fifteen to ten minutes before four o’clock.  Sometimes we use DVD for the music with words and voices to help us, and sometimes we do unaccompanied songs.  As time goes on more of the music will be familiar but there will always be new songs because new ways to praise God continue to unfold. The service then has opening praise, prayer, songs interspersed, two or three scripture texts – from the lectionary so far.  There is an opportunity to affirm and confess our faith, give to the work of the church, and share peace with each other at the end of the service. We have celebrated communion every time so far.  Different parts of the service, usually only once, are given to discuss or talk with those around you about some part of the service.  We enjoy the presence of children in our very midst on a carpet with paper to write/draw on and the opportunity to bring a toy or something to play with.  Early in the service a visual worship center gives a tangible focus to our theme for that day.  This service is open to everyone and anyone.  Join us!
