The Rev. Carolyn C. Grohman, Interim Pastor/Head of Staff, provides pastoral and administrative leadership to the congregation during their interim period.  Her main duties include preaching, administering the sacraments, planning and leading the two Sunday morning worship services, teaching adult classes, moderating the Session and meeting with committees, overseeing the staff, visiting the hospitalized and homebound, officiating at weddings and funerals, and participating in Presbytery.  In addition, she is responsible for leading the congregation through the five transitional tasks of the congregation during the interim period.

Carolyn, a graduate of Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and Florida State University, is a trained, intentional interim pastor.  North Church is her eighth interim pastorate.  Before coming here two years ago, she had served churches in Indiana and New York State.  Carolyn's daughter Debbie Grohman is also a Presbyterian minister, currently serving as an interim pastor in Rochester, NY.  Debbie, her husband Willie La Favor, and their eight-year-old son Andrew provide many opportunities for Carolyn for joy-filled family get-togethers, including summer vacations at Chautauqua.
